Every great spa has a great relaxation room…a place where clients can go in between treatments to relax and take a breather.
But what makes a relaxation room wonderful?
A perfect relaxation room requires several elements:
- Blankets – Clients are often cold when they return from treatments. Keep plenty of blankets on hand so that they can be comfortable.
- Bottled Water – Relaxation rooms should be a place where guests can get a sip of water if they need it. There should be a stocked fridge in the room with bottled water as well as other beverages.
- Snacks – Beside each chair there should be a personal selection of snacks and treats such as crackers, cheese and chocolate. This is one of the things that clients really look forward to during their spa experience. They don’t have to share the treats with the kids!
- Low Lighting and Quiet – The relaxation room should have low lighting, but be lit enough so that the client can enjoy a magazine if they want. The room should be quiet and away from the hectic pace of the spa employees. A little music in the background is OK.
By incorporating these ideas into your spa relaxation room, you can create a space that is warm and inviting for your guests. Be careful, though, they won’t want to leave!
