When you are opening a spa, one of the most important things you can do is to get the right equipment. It may be tempting to purchase used equipment from local spas who are upgrading, but if you expect to compete in a competitive market, you will need to have the highest quality equipment in town.
Look for a spa pedicure chair which has a vibrating back, is virtually silent and has all the bells and whistles that the spa technicians require. Visit your other local spas and check out their pedicure chairs. You may find that the one you are thinking of buying is much nicer than theirs. However, you won’t know how comfortable a spa pedicure chair is until you sit in it.
If you find a chair type at another spa, don’t hesitate to write down the model number and look around for the best price. You might be surprised at what you can afford. Sitting in the chair and having a pedicure is a great way to find out if the chair is a quality product or not. Ask the nail technician if she ever has any problems with her chair – such as plumbing problems or even broken parts. Don’t be afraid to ask questions. You’ll be glad you did.
